NSWIC IPART Advice
NSW Irrigation Council | 2025 | Water Policy Synthesis
Project Overview
Confluence was engaged by the New South Wales Irrigators Council (NSWIC) to support the development of their submission to the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) review of Prices for WaterNSW regional and rural bulk water (1 July 2026).
Method and Approach
Confluence applied a structured engagement framework to ensure NSWIC’s needs and preferences were considered through the pricing review analysis and were represented in the submission. Confluence overlayed this with the technical economic and pricing analysis of the WaterNSW rural bulk water pricing submission, and the IPART responses to date, to form a clear, evidence backed position.
Project Outcomes
NSWIC received a clear, well‑supported submission that articulated their position and concerns with precision and authority. The process strengthened NSWIC’s influence in the pricing review process and further support their evidence‑backed arguments to advocate for fair and sustainable bulk water charges.
