Jacob is a pragmatic consultant who offers a breadth of insight from his experience in government policy, economics and hands-on business development.
Relocating from the UK to Australia in early 2026, Jacob brings a fresh, international perspective to Confluence’s operations. His core focus lies in translating intricate policy, market, and economic data into actionable strategies for high-level decision-makers.

Jacob holds a First-Class Honours degree in Economics with Geography from the University of Exeter. His academic research focused on the commercial and behavioural economics of biodiversity offsetting and its intersection with the agricultural sector.
After University, Jacob worked in Trade and Energy Policy for the UK Civil Service, followed by a role at Apsley Farms, one of the UK’s largest biomethane plants. At Aspley farms, Jacob where he led the launch of the company’s new dry ice business, leveraging biogenic CO2 to create a carbon neutral product for pharmaceutical and automotive customers, delivering a new revenue stream to the company.
